We want to make Adelaide a dog friendly city! Houndwave is Adelaide’s pooch-friendly music festival! + markets and more. #Houndwave #MustLoveDogs.
This is a FREE COMMUNITY EVENT celebrating life in the City of Adelaide and an opportunity to meet your neighbours .. #neighbourday (week).
Houndwave is Adelaide’s dog’s day out!.. a chance for dogs and their two legged companions and friends to celebrate the ancient bond between dogs and humans. Dogs were the first of any species (including plants) to be domesticated by humans (or vice versa) and our relationship goes back over 30,000 years. Dogs (and pets generally)are a vital component to healthy communities as companion animals and are an important contributor to peoples well-being. Many city residents however do not have the opportunity for dog ownership or at worst will have to give up a pet to move to the city particularly in multi unit residential developments. In 2018 we introduce our Principal Partners, Adelaide Mini Garage. The event is supported by Splash Adelaide.
The Adelaide West End Association celebrates all we love about dogs with through music, food and a market in the heart of the west end and draws to attention the importance of canine companions to people and the city.
Our Vet Partners Adelaide Vets will be on site all day running a stall with an opportunity for you to “Ask a vet” and you can also win a year of veterinary care worth up to $695.00.
Australia has one of the highest rates of pet ownership in the world. About 63% of Australian households own pets. There are an estimated more than 25 million pets in Australia.
